THANK YOU SO MUCH!

MUITO OBRIGADO

We would like to share our immense gratitude and appreciation to all the people that made this project possible and to all the women who shared their stories; Julie Brasil, Ana Paula Lopes, Simone Rodrigues, and Nana Moraes and Witoria Santos. Also a special thank you to Juliana Brigido, for coordinating with her colleagues from the engineering program to allow us to film at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and to all students who were courageous enough to share their stories. Many thanks to Guillerme Altemeyer, for helping us  better understand gender and sexuality issues in Brazil. Thanks to our mentors from The New School of New York; Peter Lucas, Cecilia Rubino and Amir Husak. We are also very grateful for the help that our colleagues Kate Parvenski and Hanna Torrefranca gave us; their support on the ground while conducting the interviews helped achieve the final product. Also to Adrian Cebreros Bueno, for his collaboration and footage compilation used in this project. Finally, our deepest thanks to the people of Rio de Janeiro. It was your kindness, humanity, and sense of community; that inspired us every single day during this process. We want this project to serve as an educational resource for human rights activists, victims, and survivors of domestic violence and gender inequality and to all those who have been victims of homophobic attacks.
